60 lb Single Shoulder Rail Tie Plate

Kimes Steel's light rail tie plate of forged steel is used for 60 lb per yard ASCE rails. It protects the ties against wear and helps maintain gauge. The single shoulder design prevents outward expansion of the rails. This plate is 3/8" thick, 8" long and 5-1/2" wide, and is normally punched with four 11/16" spike holes, so that the rail base overlaps 1/16" of the holes. Tie plates of other widths and hole punching can be furnished upon request. Generally either 1/2" or 5/8" spikes are recommended.
